GLADYS Patterson was on Cloud Nine after becoming the ninth Super 7 jackpot winner of 2007 - and so was son Paul after the pair split the £10,000 winnings.

And she was still on a high when visiting St. James' Park to be presented with her cheque by NUFC Chairman Chris Mort.

Gladys said: "I really thought someone was having a joke when I received the phone call. I just couldn't believe it!

"My son Paul and I agreed when we both joined the Super 7 that any winnings below £20 we would keep, but anything over that would be split 50-50."

Gladys pays her Super 7 subscription to her agent Tom O'Connor. Tom also received a £50 bonus for his hard work.
