NEWCASTLE United striker Michael Owen believes that Sam Allardyce will "shake things up" at the club after meeting with the Magpies' new boss.
Owen was impressed with what Big Sam had to say when they and Kieron Dyer met for a chat at the England team hotel last week.
And Owen, who is set to figure for the Three Lions against Brazil at Wembley on Friday, says that he will again meet with Allardyce when the United gaffer returns from holiday.
The 27-year-old said: "I've had a good chat with Sam Allardyce about his plans for Newcastle. He came to the England team hotel last week to have a chat with me and Kieron Dyer.
"He is obviously going to shake the place up. He sounded very thorough, talking about everything from dietary advice to injury prevention as well as improving results.
"We are planning to meet again when he returns from holiday and he wished me good luck with these England games."
Owen will be making his first appearance for the full national side since last summer's World Cup when they face the South Americans in Friday's showpiece event.
