NEWCASTLE United Juniors are still looking for their first win of the season after slipping to a 1-0 defeat at home to Sheffield United.

Adam Chapman (62) fired the Blades' winner as his long-range effort took a deflection before its way into the net via Mark Cook's post.

But it was the Magpies who came closest to breaking the deadlock, Ryan Donaldson denied by a fine save after a shot from 12 yards out.

Toon stopper Cook kept the hosts in the game after the break before the black and whites rallied late on with Donaldson again going close.
