Win Will Banish Break Memory - MO

MICHAEL Owen returns to White Hart Lane for the first time this weekend since breaking his foot in a freak collision with Spurs goalkeeper Paul Robinson more than two years ago.
That injury proved the catalyst for a string of further problems which has seen the striker limited to just 30 appearances for United since then.
However, Owen is enjoying his longest run of consecutive games - 15 - since joining the Magpies in a club record deal nearly three years ago and heads back to the North London venue in the middle of a hot scoring streak.
Indeed, the Newcastle skipper has found the target four times in his last seven outings, Saturday's strike against Fulham helping to seal a victory which takes Kevin Keegan's side six points clear of the Premier League drop zone.
And, as the 28-year-old told Newcastle World TV this week, there will only be one thing on his mind when he leads out the Geordies on Sunday afternoon.
"The injury won't be on my mind because it's part and parcel of being a footballer," said the eight-goal star.
"But you take the good things from different stadiums - sometimes you have scored a few goals there and you feel good, but the bad things you put to the back of your mind.
"It was a freak accident and Paul Robinson landed on my foot with all his weight and momentum.
"Looking back it was the catalyst really for a series of injuries because, even though I didn't come back too early before my knee went, it was a catalogue (of injuries) after that.
"It was a disappointing time but I'm back and fit now and will only be thinking about getting a result for Newcastle on Sunday.
"We've managed to turn things around a little bit with our last two results so the only thing on my mind will be keeping that run going.
"It will be tough because Spurs are a great side, but we've got our belief back and we're hoping to nick something."
Owen has been on the winning side just once at White Hart Lane, scoring for Liverpool in a 3-2 victory back in March, 2003.
And the England man admits it would be great to repeat that trick this weekend.
"I remember scoring a goal and winning there with Liverpool so, of course, it would be nice to have the same outcome on Sunday," he added.
"But confidence is up after the Fulham game.
"Winning is a great feeling because you can go home and take the wife out and enjoy yourself.
"If you lose it's a case of watching TV, twiddling your thumbs, going to bed and waking up with a sore head.
"It's been a big week for everyone at the club and it was reward for all the hard work we have put in."
