Emre To Turk Early Euro Leave

TURKISH midfielder Emre will not figure in the final game of the season at Everton next weekend and will instead be allowed to join up with his national side ahead of this summer's European Championships.
The 27-year-old has endured a frustrating campaign disrupted by a series of injuries which have limited his appearance to just 17 outings.
The latest, an ankle injury picked up playing for United's reserves in March, came in his comeback match after a six-week calf lay-off.
And, with Turkey due to kick-off their Euro 2008 campaign against Portugal in Geneva on June 7, Toon boss Kevin Keegan has confirmed that the former Inter ace will this week link-up with Fatih Terim's side.
"We will let Emre go to join the Turkey side because we don't want to throw him in and get injured," KK told Newcastle World TV.
"That would not be fair because he's just got himself back fit again after two bad injuries."
While the United gaffer added that Joey Barton (bail conditions) would also be missing for the Merseyside trip.
"Joey also will not be playing and we will go there (to Everton) with a different side and maybe give one or two people a chance who deserve it but have had to wait."
