TEAM NEWS
KEVIN Keegan will be without Mark Viduka (Achilles), Joey Barton (bail conditions), James Milner (foot) and Emre who has been allowed to join up with the Turkish national side ahead of Euro 2008.
That means Alan Smith and Damien Duff could both earn recalls with Andy Carroll likely to return to the Magpie bench at the very least.
For Everton, injured trio Mikael Arteta (stomach), Tim Cahill (foot) and James Vaughan (knee) are all missing.

FACTS AND FIGURES
Everton;

2. Won one of the last eight; 1-0, home to Derby on 6 April.
3. Scored more than a single goal in only one of the last nine; that being the 2-2 home draw with Aston Villa on 27 April. It was also the only occasion in 17 that more than one goal had been conceded in a league game.
4. Conceded just 10 goals in their 17 matches in 2008; only Chelsea equal that.
5. Kept one clean sheet in eight.
6. Already on their record points total for a Premier League season, having collected 62 with one match to play.
7. Not won their last league fixture of the season in 11 attempts, since a 1-0 home victory over Aston Villa on 5 May 1996. Drawn the last two seasonal closers; home to West Brom, and away to Chelsea.
8. The only club not awarded a penalty in this league this season.
9. Picked up fewer cards than any other club from matches in this league; 43 (three red, 40 yellow).
10. Picked up only two points from losing positions (courtesy of 1-1 draws, home to Blackburn and away to Chelsea); it is the joint worst recovery rate (with Reading).
Newcastle;
1. The 0-2 home defeat to Chelsea last Monday, ended a seven-match unbeaten sequence.
2. Won four of 15 league games under Kevin Keegan.
3. Kept clean sheets in four of the last seven matches.
4. Conceded 62 goals this season; only Derby (85) and Reading (66) have shipped more.
5. Conceded 10 goals in the last five minutes; only Birmingham match that.
6. Ended last season in 13th place, with 43 points. Currently on 34 points, in 12th place.
7. Won the last fixture of the league campaign just once in six seasons; that being 1-0, home to Chelsea on 7 May 2006. Lost the finale in just one of their last nine; 3-1, away to Southampton on 11 May 2002.
8. Not beaten in four away since their last visit to Merseyside. Won one and drawn three on the road since losing 3-0 to Liverpool on 8 March. Drawn the most recent two away from St James' Park.
9. Hoping to add Everton, to Fulham and Tottenham as clubs they've done the double over this season.
