NEWCASTLE United midfielder Geremi played the full 90 minutes as Cameroon were held to a surprise goalless draw in a World Cup qualifier with Tanzania in Dar Es Salaam.

The draw leaves the Indomitable Lions one point clear of the Cape Verde Islands at the top of their four-team group with the 12 group winners and eight best runners-up advancing to the next stage of qualifying for South Africa 2010.

Cameroon will again face the Tanzanians next weekend in Yaounde.

While Senegal, without Toon pair Abdoulaye Faye and Habib Beye, threw away a two-goal lead late on as they slipped to second in their group following a draw with bottom-placed Liberia.
