STEVE Bennett will be the man in the middle as United kick-off the new season at Middlesbrough on Saturday.

The referee's list for the first three games has been released by the Premier League, with Mike Dean taking charge of the first home game against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday week, then Mark Halsey officiating the home game with new boys Norwich City.
