The Directors of Newcastle United PLC announce that an agreement has been reached with West Ham United for the transfer of midfield player Scott Parker.

The transaction was completed last night, 6th June 2007. The fee payable is £6.5m excluding VAT plus a further £500,000 contingent on future appearances of the player for West Ham United.
