International Career

Fabricio joined United from Deportivo La Coruna in August 2008, signing a five-year contract.
He began his career with the youth team of Argentinos Juniors but made his professional debut in 1998 with Boca Juniors.
The following season he moved to AC Milan but spent most of his five years at the San Siro out on loan before returning to Milan, playing once, and then moving permanently to Deportivo.
Coloccini was in the Argentina U20 side that won the 2001 FIFA World Youth Championship and in 2004, was an Olympic Gold medalist with Argentina in Athens where his team-mates included Carlos Tevez and Javier Mascherano.
In the 2006 World Cup in Germany, Fabricio played twice for Argentina, against Holland and in the losing quarter final against Germany.
Played as a substitute for Argentina when Michael Owen scored two late goals as England beat Argentina 3 - 2 in Geneva in November 2005.
Last season, 2007/08, he played every minute of Deportivo's La Liga campaign, the first player to do so since the 1999/2000 campaign.
He made his Magpie debut on the opening day of the 2008/09 season as United held champions Manchester United to a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford.
